Paternity Pay Details

This screen shows the amount of gross pay for the last 24 periods that are to be used in the calculation of Average Pay.

These view only fields shows the period of avg calculation, amount to be paid to employee, average pay calculation and the total amount for the whole period of confinement respectively.

If an employee needs to be excluded from the payrun, an exclusion marker can be set. The valid entries are:

0 - Employee is eligible for SPP 1 - Employee's average earnings are below the NI LEL

2 - Employee's length of service is less than 26 weeks.

3 - Statutory sick pay period

4 - Employee is in legal custody.

These fields allow a message to be attached to an employee and printed on the employee's current period payslip. Cleardown will automatically clear this field.

The date of the Sunday preceding the day on which the confinement certificate states that the baby is due to be born.

Select the type of Paternity leave being applied. Valid options are:

B - Birth

A - Adoption

Tick the box if eligible, then company can claim back 100% of SMP/SPP/SAP/APP paid out plus an additional 3%.

This field displays the date of the beginning of the week, which is to be used in the calculation of the employee's average pay. This will normally be the same as the Qualifying Week, and be automatically entered by the system.

Input the pay period (format 'CCYYPP') which is the last period to be used for the calculation of average pay. This is the pay period whose pay date falls before the end of the 'Start Date for Average Calc'.

Enter the actual date (format 'DDMMCCYY') of confinement.

Enter the date (format 'DDMMCCYY') on the employee's self-certification form given as evidence of their entitlement to SPP.

Enter the date (format 'DDMMCCYY') the employee has requested for the first weeks payment of SPP.

Enter the pay period due (format 'CCYYPP') for payment derived from the first payment date entered above.

Enter the date (format 'DDMMCCYY') the employee has requested for the second weeks payment of SPP.

Enter the pay period due (format 'CCYYPP') for payment derived from the second payment date entered above.

Display only. This field shows the amount of SPP which has been paid during the current Paternity Pay Period (PPP).

Display only. This field displays the employee's average pay as calculated by the system.

Display only. This field displays the rate at which SPP will be paid, this will be a system calculated amount based on the average pay. This will be the lower of the standard amount for SPP entered in Statutory Variables or 90% of the average pay.

Display only. This field displays the number of weeks that the employee has left for payments.

Display only. This field displays the number of weeks of SPP that the system has not paid as a result of the employee working during the PPP.
